    Ambi Bolt-Release Lower Receiver....

I am trying to decide on my next lower. I would go with another Spike's but I already have some. Would like to try something different. Anyways, I like the POF Ambi bolt-release on the Gen III lowers, however you can't buy them without the built-in trigger guard. Are there any Lower Receivers out there besides the POF that utilize a ambi bolt release like the POF?

    thanks
    J

EDIT: meant bolt release, not mag release

i could be wrong, but that lower doesnt have ambi mag release, thats a ambi bolt release on the right side, isnt it?

It is an ambi bolt release. Whats the matter snake. Don't you like slapping the right side of your AR to chamber a fresh round (magazine). I sure do.

OMG. Finally an ambi-bolt catch setup. No more weird awkward reaching around to hit the bolt-catch on the AR anymore! I hope more companies make them 'cuz it's a perfect match for us Southpaw shooters! I'd buy one right now if it weren't for the huge price tag of $300+.

My first AR build was with a CMMG lower. Then I discovered POF and because of the ambi bolt release and me being left handed, I had to buy it. I love mine!! So now my CMMG lower is just sitting in my safe with no upper. But back to your original question, I don't think there is another company that has an ambi bolt release.

Darn it. Why do they have to penalize us southpaws? Pay extra for southpaw upper, then pay even more up the nose for ambi-lowers.

There is another option for having a "almost ambi" bolt release, Randall (ar15barrels) has one on his match rifle. Im not sure what its called or who makes it. But if memory serves, it clamps onto the stock bolt release and extends down so you can use your trigger finger to press the mag release.

hope Randall jumps in and shines some light on who makes that unit.

Have their original receivers hit the market yet? I'd hit up Stickman and ask him about those, but chances are a half dozen people a day do that already. I can't wait to have a 100% Magpul rifle. Now if only they will announce that they are doing in house barrels in .300 Whisper and I can be all happy...
