    Should I wait?

Ordered a DD M4 from a Texas dealer through Gunbroker last Monday. The dealer replied my email every time. Yet he keeps saying the bullet button is not in stock and he is waiting. Now it's more than 10 days... Never got this kind of story before and I felt a bit odd. Can I buy a BB myself and install it at my FFL? Or simply I should just wait? Any comments, folks? Thanks.

You could have the seller take the upper and lower apart and send it like that to your ffl, and then install the bb at that time. Just double check with your ffl.

Send him a bullet button. Go somewhere else that has them in stock and send him one care of your name. Then email him afterwards and let him know to keep an eye out for that package and that he needs to use it on YOUR rifle and not another customers by mistake. Maybe ask him to deduct the cost you paid for that bullet button as a courtesy. He has room in his markup.

A third option would be to find an FFL with an " AW permit" and have them install the maglock for you once they receive the rifle.

Thank you all for the detailed suggestions! Just found many CA legal BBs are <$10 on Gunbroker. I will try to figure that out this week. All my previous purchases were from online sellers. I got a bit jumpy because of this SB 374 thing. Thanks again.

Amazon will ship quickly and 8 bucks. Just have him ship it. Install later.
