ruger ranch broken screw problem

rear sight screw on stainless ruger ranch rifle broke off. anyone know if ruger would repair this under "unstated lifetime garantee"? i am the orginal owner. thanks for any input......captn-tin

they have good CS, but might just be better to upgrade anyway

Call them I would assume so. Even if they charge you it would be cheap.

What screw broke? It's not a hard job to remove any of the sight screws.

the allen type screw that holds the rear sight on broke off flush with the top of the reciever. tried soaking with kroll penetrate overnight and useing a pick to get it out but it wouldn't budge.

If you have some machine type skills, you can drill it out with a left hand twist drill. Otherwise any smith can do this job.

Lowes and Home Depot both that broken screw extractors. Pretty easy to use. You drill a small hole in the center of the broken screw and then you ease it out with the extractor.

I'm sure it would be less hassle than shipping it out for repair, which I am sure they would do for you.
