    SB374 & 80% lower

I have an unfinished 80% lower sitting in my safe. Anybody know what happens if this bs 374 is signed by moonbeam? Do I have to register? Put a serial# on it?

Been wondering this myself. I have a feeling you won't be able to register it since an 80% lower is not considered a firearm. You probably have to complete it and serialize before the end of the year to register.

Likely this unless you build a rimfire out of it.

I'm thinking we will have to serialize are completed 80%.

My thinking is along this line...

Home made sand rails or trailers all need "vin numbers" to get green stickers or trailer plates at the DMV. You can have the DMV put one on or some sand rail kits and trailer kit have them stamped on them all ready.

My old man and I did a flat bed trailer kit years back. After it was done took it over to the Fullerton DMV. DMV placed a blue metal sicker with a vin number on the frame. We also stamping the numbers on the frame. I will try to find a photo of the sicker. The trailer was sold some time ago.

That is how I'm thinking it will go down. I still emailing and Faxing for a Veto!

This is an FAQ, and nobody knows the answer.

If the bill becomes law, then it is likely the implementing regulations will address the point, and we would not see those until sometime in 2014.
