Question on AR BB

I'm getting ready to build an AR soon. I'm wondering if anyone has used this bullet button and what exactly the tool does? I'm not completely understanding this one.

Yup, but just a reminder the red thing is to thighten the thing up but "REMEMBER TO REMOVE THIS TOOL AFTER INSTALLATION", then your absolutely positively good to go

Thats the tool to tighten/loosen the nut that'll hold the BB in place.

I just bought my BB from Jerry, and I got it in two days.

It replaces and blocks the magazine release button so that your finger cannot release it. It is a compliance device that keeps the rifle from meeting the current legal definition of an assault rifle. Making it legal for you to own it. So long as you use a magazine with 10 rounds or less you are legal.

There is a bill on the Governors desk that if not vetoed will make all center-fire semi-auto rifles with a detachable magazine (even with a bullet button) illegal for purchase in the future and force us to register our existing rifles. Once you register it you will be able to take the bullet button off however you will be required to treat the rifle like an assault weapon and will only be allowed to travel to and from the shooting range with it. Plus you won't be able to buy more. You'll get the minor convince of not having a bullet button on there, but registration is just one step away from confiscation. So aside from a minor convenience it is a terrible, terrible thing.

There are rumors new compliance devices are coming designed around the new law. So there is a good chance there won't even be a beat in-between the new law going into effect and gun sales continuing. We'll see. Of course there is nothing stopping the legislature from firing back next year with even stricter gun laws. They've shamelessly violated several amendments and articles of the Constitution without so much a as a moments pause this time around.

There is still time to call, write, and fax the Governor and ask him to veto SB374.

Remember not to tighten the bullet button all the way down with that tool. Only tighten it enough to where the red wrench starts to thread on and then loosen it so you can take the wrench off and thats as tight as it needs to be. Do not use Loctite either.

Just a little confused as to whether the red wrench is one of these "can be installed for free states" type of thing.

I know about the laws and all and I do know of the raddlock....I thought this may be a cheaper alternative.
