Good to know. Seems like a lot of hassle to own an AK/AR pistol.

I read through that a while ago, there seems to be a lot of conflicting information as it was a long-running thread. What are the current recommendations as far as vol-reg, keeping a pistol in the same safe as rifles, and keeping multiple pistol uppers?

          1) vol reg is for suckers
          2) why not
          3) one pistol lower equals knock yourself out on uppers

Thanks, that was pretty much how I understood things to be.

Also, do we need the handgun safety certificate thingie if we don't volreg?

One pistol (or sbr) lower means you have legal reason to own and use a short barrel upper or as many as you want.
Now obviously if you have one pistol lower, 8 short barreled uppers and 7 lowers with butt stocks sitting arround without any uppers to go on them it would look bad, but that's circumstantial and I dont think it is what you are planning is it?
