HK USC convertible to UMP pistol?

Wouldn't it be possible for a type 7 FFL to take a USC rifle and turn it into a UMP pistol (without a stock) that could then be dros'd as an sse? That way we can play with a proper length barrel on a UMP

Anyone know a type 7 dealer that would be willing?
