Kel-Tec RFB 24" Hunter Need some help on a FFL that can accept and add BB for me.

    Hello,
I have a Kel-Tec RFB that I purchased from a private party out of state and I need an FFL that can accept it and add a Bullet Button for me. It is legal length and has a 10 round mag but needs a BB. Any recommendations? I am in So Cal near Ontario area. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks guys.

Why don't you just have the seller ship it disassembled. You can make it compliant when you get home. BTW, I have a maglock for it if you're interested .

Hi someone please correct me if I'm wrong but I believe it needs to have a BB on the rifle first before it comes in to CA. I suggest sending your private party the BB and requesting he put it on before sending it out to CA

07 FFL can do it or try an out of state middleman FFL (sticky at top of this forum page) and ship it to your local FFL
            You'll like your RFB.

You can have the RFB upper barreled receiver shipped to a California FFL and transfer this in your name. The lower receiver, bolt and other accessories can be shipped to your home in a seperate package.

Although this is perfectly legal some FFLs will not do it. Some are ignorant of the law or chickensh*t and don't want to take any risk that you may do something stupid.

If you have a professional relationship with an FFL who you have done previous business with who knows you are a responsible gun owner they will be more receptive to this idea. If not, you may want to call around and find one that would be willing to go this route. This is the easiest and most economical way to get the RFB here and you can add your own BB while the upper is in jail.

              Good luck.

I appreciate everyone's support and responses. Calguns community rocks! I really need an 07 FFL. The seller shipped it to my regular FFL since I had bought something from him before and he sent it there he assumed it would be okay, but they had to refuse it since no BB. The USPS is holding it for me until I give them a new destination ie. 07 FFL near me. Anyone have a suggestion on one near me? Thanks again guys.

PS. I only have a few days before USPS sends it back so any ideas are appreciated and if it has to be a couple of hours away so be it. Thanks.

New Frontier Armory in Nevada. They just brought in a Vepr 12 for me. I had the bullet button sent to them from Solar Tactical and they installed it. I think it was around 45 bucks for them to receive, install the bullet button and send it to Riflegear. They were fast, professional and courteous. I'm not a polymer guy but will be buying a NFA poly lower just on principle.
