Wall mounted electronic lock rifle rack ?

Posted this here because its a lot more active than the safe and accessories forum. A friend of mine is looking for an electronic rack to keep his rifle out of the hands of his kid while keeping it accessible. Do you guys have or use one of these? Brands? Experience?

I saw one company at a gun show with a cool design, but I didn't get their card because i was not interested in such a setup. It was a single rifle/shotgun rack with a telephone style electronic keypad.

I've looked into them before but my wife would not allow me to mount one next to our bed . Women, am I right?

If you search google for "police car rifle rack" you will find a ton of options. I personally like the dual long gun racks that will hold a shotgun and AR/AK. Best of both worlds.

Yes. I built one for an 870, but you can do the same for a rifle.

        See this thread! Post 29.

          Thanks for the suggestions.

Irish joe. What's the brand of the parts you used ? Links on your old post are bad.

I have the Ready to deploy rack from Covered 6. So far it has been awesome. Had some trips to Home Depot picking out screws, but once I got in this thing installed it worked great. The best thing for my shotgun in my master closet. My office safe was too far away and slow to get into. Good customer service too. Here is he link www.securerifle.com

I read this thread and was all excited and then hit the link to buy one...
              Really nice but over $400 That's a non-starter price wise for me - I expected $250 "ish"
