What to get?

Hi all,

With time running out for 2013 and planning for the worst but hoping for the best, I'm trying to decided what my final purchase of the year will be. I'm sure many of you are as well.

I feel I'm good ARs (both gas and piston in both 5.56 and 308) and Stripped lowers. I have one FEG AK.

I'm having a hard time deciding between:

1) Milled receiver AK
2) Saiga 12
3) Tavor
The Tavor is not an easy choice for me because the whole point of the bullpup is to have a smaller package. If you add the extension, then what is the point? I have been reading other threads that we might be able to take off if SB347 is signed due to there being only one AW class, but nothing is confirmed at this point as people are still debating the issue. If we can go to 26" OAL, that would make the TAVOR a big win.

Yeah, the current OAL requirement pretty much takes the Tavor off my list. In my opinion, for my uses, there is no point in getting one if it isn't going to be any shorter than the AR's I have.

I would take the money that I would spend on a Tavor, and get an Arsenal SAM7R and a Saiga in 5.45. Atlantic Firearms has both for the price you would spend on a Tavor.
