    Rotating Rail for AR15

A buddy of mine sent me this link.

Their product is a carbine length picatinny rail system that rotates to allow you to use different rail mounted items without having to remove them.

What are your thoughts? Legitimate addon for your AR or just another mall ninja gadget?

Mall ninja gadget. There are much cheaper and light ways to get rails at a 45 degree angle, and the idea that someone needs to flip between red dots and NV, as if they're going to leave that crap just hanging off the sides out of the way seems silly. Nevermind the potential to just break and unnecessary complexity.

I also like their product page. The video makes it seem silly, and the picture of the underinflated tire sitting on the rail that may or may not actually be mounted to anything is kinda funny. http://www.ballistatactical.com/picatinny-rail/

edit again: Oh man, it gets even better. I scrolled down further andI can get their $439 rail for the low low price of $199, but if I act now I get a 30 day money back guarantee, yay!

Cheesy mall ninja looking product, terrible as seen on tv marketing. No thanks.

Just what the AR world needs!

I'm going to invent a rotating rail for my rotating rail, maybe mount a Glock or two on the spare.

Another "tactical" accessory that solves a problem that never existed.

Sign me up!!! I want a rotating gas block and vibrating foregrip on mine as well...

Come on guys really? Is there any doubt this is just another gimmic? Ok, so you can spin stuff around your barrel. WHY? a scope with BUIS is all that is necessary. If youmust go full on tacticool Then may I suggest getting a FTS mount and co-witness. Those of us who have actually used them know they work just fine. This just seems far and beyond any practical or usefull applications. Just my .02.

Oh, man that looks like a rail that you would get at Bed, Bath, and Beyond! LOL

The conservative see's glass as half empty and tries to keep it that way.

Can't you do the same thing on a angled picatinny rail adapter? It looks like it would take more time to hit a button and then rotate the tool then to just rotate the rifle.

It's not pink or fluffy or made of plastic. From a looks perspective, it doesn't look at all any worse than a lot of rails that are out there.
