Handguard free float help

I would like to change my current handguard which is a diamonhead Vrs on a stag model 3 with a railed gas block, I was interested in a free float handguard from fortis rev http://fortismfg.com/index.php?route...tegory&path=59

I was thinking of getting either a 9 inch or 7 inch handguard. What would I need to make that happen? Would I need to change my gasblock?

Your gas block will not need to change, you might need to change your barrel nut depending on what sort of nut Fortis uses.

Fortis uses a standard barrel nut.

The 7" Fortis REV will fit a Stag model 3 but you will need to remove the gas block to install the REV because it is a one piece handguard.

The 9" Fortis REV will not fit unless you replace your railed gas block with a low-profile gas block.

I'm not sure, call Fortis and ask.

It depends on how fat your gas block is.

I put a 12" Fortis REV on one of my carbines and there is barely enough room inside for a shaved FSB.

The REV handguards are very skinny.
