    AK Flat Recommendations

Can someone recommend some AK (-74 and -47) flats or 80% and possibly the problems/difficulties associated with them. I want an Ak but can't afford one before the possible upcoming legislation, so I figured I would stock up on the flats/receiver. Thanks in advance!

Ak builder. Curtis is the only one who makes them that I would trust.

normally we recommend that you determine which kit you want and then you get the matching flat. if you buy flats, then you have to try to find a matching kit which can be difficult as kits come into the country in batches and they can often sell out.

you can get standard fixed-stock flats that will work with many different kits, or you can get side-folder or under-folder flats that will only work with specific kits. and you can even modify fixed-stock flats to work with a side/under-folder kit.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

if you go to AKbuilder flat section you'll see YugoM70 fix stock or UF 1.5 mm flat so you choose

which yugo kit? go to AK-builder and go to the Yugo section and find the flat that matches the kit you have.

they made kits that use 1mm flats and others that used 1.5mm "bulged" flats. And they made both fixed-stock and folders, so you have to keep in mind as well.
