    80% lower jig compatibility

Most if not all ar15 lowers hold the same mold. With that said, if an 80 % lower is pruchased from company "a" and and another company "b" the mutli use jig purchased from comapany"'c" can those two units be machined to complete a lower even if they are not from the same manufacturer?

    Thanks for the time

Nope. Many 80%s are being made from billet stock. Also, different jigs are set up to do the specific processes which that manufacturer has left out to keep it at under 80%. So, what is needed to complete one brand can vary from what is need to complete another brand.

If the paperweights are forged they usually always fit in the same jig.
It's those pesky billet lowers that you need to make sure the jig will work.

Understood. It seems that all 80% lowers require the trigger well, trigger hole and selector hole driiled out...that is why I m wondering what is the big difference. According to bravodigger, if they are forged then all is good...if not then watch out.

It is hard to find a company that has both 80% and jigs in stock at the same time!!!! Any vendors you trust that have both for a good price in stock right now?

        Thanks
        Joe

Btw. There is nothing bad about billet lowers, I absolutely love mine.
