    Big Basin camping + rifle question

    i will be going on a trip with a few friends to big basin and wanted to know if i could bring my ruger 10/22 for some target shooting?

        yeah, i was headed there too this summer and wanted to bring my 22 - looks like the safest bets are National Forest parks.

            I just picked up my new hunting license and bird stamp at big5 during lunch today.

              There are no hunting areas at Big Basin State Park.

              And the State Park rangers (LEO's) are very strict there, at least from my observations there. Don't even think about having any firearms visible there...
