    AR MOD Question.

I have a Rock River Arms LAR-458 Socom that has a free float aluminum tube fore the handguard. I want to mount on a verticle foregrip light.
The easy way to do this would be to just buy a quad rail for it from Rock river. But I like the round aluminum handguard I have now. So, does someone sell a small picatinny rail that I could mount under the round handguard? Would this look stupid?
It couldnt be that hard to do, just drill and tap some holes in the round guard and mount the verticle grip, but not sure on how strong it would be or if its been done before.

    Thoughts?

drill and tap would be the easiest solution... just find a length of rail that's closest to the length of the light/vfg's mount and it should look alright.

I am not sure if the radius on the rail is the same as your hand guard but it should work.

Thanks, ordered it. i guess ill mock it up and see how it looks. If its too hideous, ill just change over to a quad rail.
