    Another SKS question

What SKS make/models are legal in CA, are any still C&R eligible?

The only models of SKS specifically banned by ca are those that accept a detachable magazine. I believe most if not all Russian variants are c&r eledigble, along with the yugo m59(not 59/66), and some of the Chinese models.

The most widely available C&R SKS variant is the Chinese Type 56. Classicarms sells them as well as JG sales but JG charges way too much in my opinion ($499). If you have a 03 FFL classicarms will sell you an all matching hand select rifle for $380 delivered. It's heck of a lot better than what people are asking for in the market place.

          Good luck with your search!

I have one being shipped from Classic to my FFL. Wish I had my 03 but it would take to long IMO. I'll be paying extra because of it, tax and FFL fee's

The SKS will be the only legal semauto centerfire rifle we can own if all the bills become law. I'm glad I got a cool Paratrooper but I'm not glad that there will be gun stores going out of business because they can't sell products. There needs to be a class action lawsuit against the state of CA for lost in wages or something.

Is there another semiauto centerfire rifle that has a fixed magazine, no bullet button, holds 10 rounds or less, no pistol grip and no evil feature? If you know please tell me because I do not know any. I'm serious, I really don't know any.

I think he is referring to it having a fixed magazine?

OK, thanks to all, I get extremely frustrated with the nonsense quoted to me from a growing number of sellers on GB.

You got me there. The DOJ does not constitute the enbloc had a magazine.

The 30-06 is not nearly as affordable as the 7.62x39 though...

The Ruger 44mag carbine has tube mag & only holds four rounds I think if you can find one.
The Remington Model 8 & 81 have five round non detach mags but they quit making them in the early fifties.

Here is one to none of the bills passing. Cheers
