Same reason manufacturers put biohazard symbols on the magwell, dye components neon green, change the selector engravings to pirate speak, and all sorts of other non-functional difference. Because people want to buy it.

Artwork comes in many forms we have a long proud history of customizing are cars and motorcycles.I say have fun with it.Nothing wrong with billet. If you enjoy being creative with engravings and colors and it doesn't hurt function go for it its yours.Nice lower it will make a nice firearm.

I just picked up a Franklin Armory billet lower from Ammo Bros for $199.

Very few billets are 7075.That is stronger than the 60 series they are usually machined from also much more costly.

The Franklin armory billet is 7075. As are many 200-250$ lowers. 350 is getting punked..... Hard
