A good used one is good too.I know a very competent M14 Smith should you need one..In the mid 2000,s Springfield had some production problems. If a Smith Enterprise rifle is found, buy it .I think a Smith rates higher than anything else, but that is my opinion.Keep it simple!Comment

It's tough to find a NM CA model both in stock and at a good price. As far as I know there has only been one NIB NM on here in months and it was gone in minutes.
I recently bought a new non ca Walnut NM off of gunbroker from a seller named gunbuyer.com for $1999. Nice thing about these guys is that they have a smith in house and they only charged me $40 to install a CA legal brake I had shipped straight to them.Comment

We have been getting some M1As recently from Springfield, mostly the loaded ones, and we've had several NM M1As on order for some time now. We can always place a special order for you if you want to get one on order. Good luck, it's a great rifle!Oak Tree Gun Club

Just wanted to add that when I bought my M1A several months ago, I was convinced that it was my last gun and I've since bought a revolver and a bolt rifle and am in the market for another lever gun right now.Comment

It wasn't a NM, but I did purchase a new Loaded version from Doc's Gun Exchange (in South Carolina) off of Gun Broker a couple of months ago. It got here quickly.sigpic
