There are many reasons for the poly, and for 80% in general, and many more reasons to stick with aluminum- it's all a personal decision. Many have seen the flexible mag well video and are convinced to go to poly. That said, they will likely never encounter an engagement where an aluminum mag well will be crushed and not be able to accept a magazine. I had a buyer say he liked the color options and did not want to paint an aluminum lower.

I've had my Plumcrazy AR for several years and with several k run through it without a hiccup. I don't think I would take it into battle unless it was all I had but for a range gun it's great.

I have New Frontier Armory lower with a CMMG lower parts kit and it runs great. Here is an interesting read about poly lowers. I personally don't see any problem with them

I will say I wanted a "non plastic" LPK in my lower.

While I'm a huge Glock fan, I'm still not sold on poly AR lowers.

Seems like you can find a Anderson 7075 lower on sale for not much more, might as well go with that.

If you shoot your AR that much you don't have a polymer lower, you probably have something much "better" 10,000 rounds is what? 4,800$ these days if your lucky. At that point what's a lower besides a speed bump?... I have a complete BCM rifle, a Spikes complete both are good rifles for me. I don't shoot competitive unfortunately. All my rounds are range only and the occasional trip outta state to my brothers range if you wanna call it that. Then I have a NFA lower with a Delton dissy upper. While it's not top of the line it doesn't need to be, it's ran fine no issuses with the lower at all and it's completely stock. I just think your off base is all hundreds of range trips thrown around? What is it a baseball? 10,000 rounds? Really? Be honest average shooter we are talking 10,000 rounds remember, is a long time. And it has a lifetime warranty. I know it's not the best, but I doubt anyone buys a poly lower thinking it's a "Battle rifle".

The true test is using the gun for your intended purpose.

Look, I don't like polymer lowers so I am not arguing that point, but suggesting that the only test for the suitability of a polymer lower is if it stands up to your use patterns doesn't really add up. If someone wants a rifle that they will shoot 500 times in it's lifetime, and it will only be used at the range, then why would they need to know that it will last 10,000 rounds and withstand hundreds of trips, or being dropped banged, etc?

For my uses, long range target, I would like a steel upper and lower, but nobody makes them.

Glock frames are not 100% polymer. They have steel reinforcements molded into the plastic.

I saw an ad for Anderson Lowers at $55 each (sorry weekend sale ended today I think, but it's at Larry's Pistol and Pawn in AL). Anyway, I'm the No. CA Dealer for EP Lowers but still can't pass up a deal on Aluminum ones

Hmm sounds like hey should reinforce the lowers with like a mesh or something maybe like concrete? Wonder if this has been tried? You know mold it into the plastic
