How difficult is it to build an AK with one of these?

If I bought one of these, what would I be in for?

*I have a Dremel and a lot of general tools but no drill press or anything for welding.

What would you be in for?
A boatload of grinding, filing, and fitment.
Not to mention drilling, deburring, and double checking hole locations.

    My humble suggestion
Buy an ak builder flat, attend a build party.
You will complete about 4 hours of work (on the HD blank) in about 3 minutes (bending the flat) using an AKbuilder flat.
Oh, and all your holes will be in the correct locations already pre-drilled, and top rails will not require any fitment to work.

Difference in price can be put toward the BP

Let me put it this way. My brother bought a kit and a prebent holeless like that and asked if I could show him how to build it. I said sure and ordered an AKBuilder flat for him. I even have a mill with an X & Y ditial readouts. If you can't get to a BP then the extra work may be worth it. You can build one like that. But if you can make it to a BP or know someone with a bending jig then getting a predrilled flat is the way to go even if you already have a prebent.

It can be done but time spent is not worth it like above posters have said. I don't even like to use the polish shells due to the amount of extra work involved and I have all the tools so flats are the way to go for me.
