AR Pistol - Established Brand or Budget?

So I am looking into an AR-15 pistol. I have been eyeballing the Spikes 7.5 with the BAR. A bit more than I was hoping to spend for a range toy, but nice that they have such a good reputation and great products.

Alternatively, I buy super budget AR parts from companies I have never really heard of before (KB MFG) and assemble a budget AR pistol.

I estimate after necessary hoops to jump through with the parts (sse, bullet button) I would only be saving a few hundred dollars, max $400. So my question is, for that difference, would you go for the tried-and-true Spikes with a lifetime warranty, or a no-name brand?

Any reason why you don't build your own?

      I second that.

Best way to insure quality and control cost is to assemble your own.

I wouldn't worry so much about the name as so much as what they are making their stuff out of.
On the other hand, most of the bigger names that are reputable got that way because of offering parts that consumers know are made correctly with the right stuff so to speak

No experience. I'm sure it's not terribly hard to figure out but things like headspacing can make the difference between a gun that's fun to shoot and one that's just a pain. I feel like I would need some degree of professional help.

Its not hard at all! trust me I just got done building up an ar pistol and it was quite simple. there are plenty of videos online of how to assemble a lower, uppers can be a little more tricky but if you buy a pre built upper your good to go. good luck!
