AK-Builder rivet set question

I'm about to order a rivet set for a Bulgarian AK74 /w fixed stock on an NDS-2EZ receiver, but since this is my first build, I want to make sure that I get everything I need. Is this set complete with the center support, or do I need to order one separately?

And how thick is the NDS-2EZ receiver? 1 or 1.5mm? I tried Googling it but found nothing, surprisingly.

AFAIK, all NDS receivers are 1mm and you'll need to buy a center support

edit: if you're getting an NDS, it'll have a center support already. no need to buy one.

You shouldn't need a center support if using an NDS receiver. Since you're odering parts it's a good idea to get a mag lock (Solar Tactical), Red Star Arms FCG retaining plate, and a trigger group (Tapco G2 is good). Get all these items with you're rivet set and NDS receiving and you'll be good to go (assuming you have a US made barrel on it).

How odd.. I only took a peek at the Nodak stamp on the receiver when I DROS'd it to make sure it was the right model, but didn't notice a center support. It was in a plastic bag full of preservation grease, though.

- U.S. chrome-lined barrel from Classic Firearms

- Bulgarian 74 parts kit from Classic Firearms

- Tapco G2 single hook FCG

Still trying to decide on a magazine lock. Are there any locks similar to the Prince 50 for AR15's? I like how it can quickly be converted to a finger-release, but I do realize the AK catch is completely different.

So far so good, or am I missing something?

I just realized the Classic Firearms barrel isn't threaded, unless my eyes deceive me... does anyone sell a barrel that's 100% ready to go?

You'll need a US made muzzle brake for 922(r) compliance.

Once you have all the parts you'll need to have someone experienced with populating barrels do it for you. There's plenty of experienced AK builders in the gunsmithing section of the forum.

After that you're ready for a build party.

AK Builder sells complete parts kits with populated barrels.

No, sorry I did a cut and paste and forgot to edit it out. On a Bulgy 74 the Front Sight Block is threaded not the Gas Block.

If memory serves correctly the threads on a Bulgy74 are 24x1.5mm right-hand.

Since you are using a US barrel that counts as 1 922(r) US made part no need to get a US made brake.

As Paseclipse said you will want to have your barrel population done before a Build Party by someone that has experience.

Solar Tactical Gen 2 no permanent modification to your AK and it is removable with an allen wrench.

It is by far the best AK Mag Lock/Bullet Button on the market today and most widely used.

Do use a few dabs of Blue Loctite to make sure the set screws stay in place as recommended by the manufacturer.
