Bullet Button Be Damned - FREE AT LAST!!

Got this nice little whammy-jammy from Thordsen Customs. It was very liberating digging into my parts drawer and fishing out one of my old tactical mag releases. Coupled with a nice pre-2000 FN mag and it was a very nice day. 80% featureless goodness!!

Will be interested in seeing more of these hit the market.

I agree. I love the concept but would like to see a video of someone perhaps running a three gun course or some other type of high-speed handling.

Not knocking the Thordsen stuff, but seeing those "configuration gymnastics" I think that I'd rather stick with the BB...

You can stick with your BB, I'll stick with my M1As.

I just installed it. Seems well built. It feels like the kind of polymer that would snap versus give, though. They do some decent drop tests on their site and I'm not going to war with it, so I'm not too worried about it breaking. The connection to the receiver is solid. LOP is a bit shorter than I prefer. Cheek rest is handy and snaps onto the buffer tube cover securely. Grip/hand position really isn't too bad though. It's surprisingly comfortable. While holding the rifle with one hand, it does have more of a tendency to want to flop left or right since your grip is now more parallel to the line of the gun. Overall, it's not going to handle the same or as fast as a standard AR. Ambi-safety is a no-go since the hand is now higher. Bolt release is a little harder to get to since your thumb is further back.

Even though everyone out-of-state would probably be shaking their head at this monster, I think it's one of the better CA options out there. I have plenty of rifles with Raddlocks, but let's face it...bullet buttons suck and 10 round mags suck. I already have a Benelli MR-1 to run pre-ban mags. This configuration definitely feels more AR-ish than it does a sporter stock. It's nice to now have a legit AR cousin alongside the Benelli.

Looks like a pistol grip to me... Any sources saying otherwise? Web of the hand seems too low to win over a judge/jury.

We do what we gotta do I guess, but this is the kind of thing that free state gunnies laugh at us for.

Not putting it down, OP. Cool set-up.

I just installed one on a new lower. It does feel comphy. I'll be testing it out this weekend but really don't see it as being an issue.

That looks cool, but a bit too close to a pistol grip for me. Do they have any documentation that it is a featureless grip?

Ok... Maybe a stupid question but I really don't get it.
Could you use just the grip part or a grip with that shape with the butt stock still on the buffer tube? Like an ACE socom or similar.

That's the first Ca. featureless AR I've seen that doesn't look ridiculous.
Awesome, thx for posting and enjoy!!

I am considering a Kydex Grip wrap on my AK rifles. I hate the BB but I don't want to go to the Big House.
