PSL fed issue

Finished d my build and tried to fire some range down range and had some issues

Sometimes it wouldn't even grab the round unless I pushed up on the magazine. Could this be a magazine spring issue?

Sometimes the round would jam while feeding. The nose of the round would be pointing at a 45* angle up jammed into the chamber. If I pulled the handle back and let go it would feed.*

Sometimes I could shoot 3 rounds and other times it would be every round.*

I already disassembled the mags and cleaned them. I also made sure they were assembled properly.****

Do you have another magazine you could try? Also maybe your bolt isn't sliding back far enough for it to clear another round into the chamber. Potential gas issues, maybe?

Yes I tried another mag and same issue. I got 3 mags from Apex.

The bold carrier is sliding all the way back.

There are even deep digs in the ammo so you can see where the bolt is hitting the round.

To my untrained eye it appears the mag sits too low.

When mag is in the magwell, is there any play in it? I had very similar seeming issues with my FAL and I ended up having to get another countries mags and then problem solved. Im guessing the tiny rattle was enough that with the blow back from firing, it mustve been rocking and wedging the round in chamber at wierd angle. Did you try different rounds also?

Yes there is some play. Is there a way to add material?

I only have 1 type of round, normal spam can light ball ammo.

Not sure if the same... but gave a buddy a loose AK mag and he said he was able to bend the back little lip on the magazine where mag locks in or he added a little of some material to it. Mag worked after that cuz the butt of the mag sat higher and tighter in the well so the bolt picked up the rounds while cycling... worth a shot ???? I dunno

Im looking at my AK right now and I don't see how what my buddy did could possibly work, so take that advice with a grain of salt.

there can be issues with the magazine spring being turned the wrong way. I heard some of the importers of mags were accidentally importing the the incorrect way. You are going to have to do a search to find which way they actually go
