Just run a brush or boresnake (with your cleaner of choice) through the bore to make sure it's clean enough, and make sure you have some lube on your BCG, and it's good to go. Congrats on your new rifle. The cleaning really comes after you shoot it, when you take apart your bolt, you'll find the areas that tend to get carbon build up. There are some good videos on youtube that can get you comfortable with cleaning it.
So um... moon labia or something.

Just get a rifle bag. Pelican is tacticool overkill unless your looking to travel via plane with your rifle. A case shouldn't be for storage just for travel to and from.

If you got the cash by all means to for it they look awesome. But just get a black hawk or voodoo tactical bag.

You really ought to clean EVERY new gun you buy. They're often not really lubed right or they have preservative instead of lube. It doesn't take a long time but you at least want to field strip it, wipe everything down, lube everything that's supposed to be lubed, and then you can shoot it. It also gives you a chance to check out the internals and make sure there's nothing obviously wrong (it happens).

Sometimes you can get away with it, but it's better to spend 15 minutes making sure you're going to have a good range session than to have it start acting up and then you have to clean it anyway and be all stressed about it until you get a chance to shoot it again.

put some grease on the buffer spring.theres nothing more annoying than to hear a dry buffer spring...just a thought!
                Keep it simple!
