So for the second time in a row, I sign up on the SGAmmo website to be notified when some PMC .223 bronze ammo arrives in stock. I get emailed that it is available and I'm on the site within 2 minutes each time and the ammo is not in stock?

Seems to me that this whole email notification system on their site is worthless. Anyone have any better luck with their email notification system?

Love SG AMMO, my 2nd time ordering from them. I got my email notification for .45AUTO American Eagle yesterday, placed an ordered after work and got a tracking # this afternoon.

Just got a notification from SG today on Golden Tiger 7.62x39, and happily bought a case. Fortunately they got enough supply of that to last a bit. In fact the last 3 notifications from them led me to ammo which was available, although I didn't buy every time. So the system works for me.

Now, regarding AIM's email notification system, that is another story...

The times I've gotten emails from them, it wasn't until a few minutes later that it showed in-stock.

Another issue with email notifications is sometimes, there's a lag between when the email is sent and when you receive it due to traffic on the servers between them and your inbox. I've heard of folks getting notifications from me 15 minutes after I sent them.

Indeed. Email is not(and never was) meant to be a reliable message service. It is an unreliable(not all emails even make it to their destination) service with no thought put into delays between the sending and receiving of messages. Emails can show up an hour after they were sent, it's a rarity but it happens. In the likely 2-10 minutes it took the OP to get the email, they could have easily sold out of their limited quantity.

It's not SGAmmo's fault.

I was away from my desk when the notification came for .223 today. I did manage to get a case the other day, though. So, I am 1 for 2 so far.
