The slap in the reset could become a little less pronounced as the fcg breaks in, it's possible that it is not as pronounced on your other rifle anymore at least compared to the new one. Plus God knows milspec triggers can be a crap shoot as far as feel and feedback goes.

You can test the reset without having to fire live rounds and just dry firing
