Interesting, the more people who own and use the AR15 platform the better!

Personally, if I were to get another AR15 caliber I would go 6.8 SPC II. Hunting ammo is reasonably available and its getting to be a established round.

Who knows this new cartridge could make it onto the commercial market and be a success.

If we have to go full copper in cali the grendel and 6.8spc velocities are going to look weak. Some of those cooper rounds require higher velocities than the standard 1800fps to expand.

That's a good point and probably the best course of action but I do know that if the hunters and the target shooters are happy, your chances of success are much better. Some cartridges can do both and some are not suitable for target shooting, I get it, I was just asking a question.

I've been reading up on this new Wildcat round on several sites....... you can tell Constructor has been in the game a long time, and the reputation of his barrels are second to none. I am fired up to get one.....hope I am lucky enough when the 50 are released......appears that the demand is 3x to 4x the initial run.

Shooting a 150gr with a BC of .625 at around 2550fps which H thinks is possible with the Nosler Accubond LR clearly puts the 270AR in Elk range. The HITS score at the muzzle is 1067 and the score at 300 yards is 900.

I have to correct myself on this i clocked my Grendel shooting 120gr barnes TSX with 30.2gr of AA2520 and i'm getting 2820fps. Not weak at all!!

I backed off that load to hot and now running 29.3gr of AA2520.
