As for the snipers , well use what ya go. But I call BS on that 1500 meter shot.

As for needing a 7k rifle to be a true snipet , there was a guy who knew a thing or two that was doing just fine with an M4. He got more kills then any other sniper in the SEAL teams.

Sniper is a pretty subjective term in both the media and the world. FWIW, the Chechens did a lot of effective work with .22 lr rifles and homemade silencers from well built hides and confounded the Russians as to how to deal with them. Of course blind artillery fire on residential neighborhoods doesn't do much to win over the populace.

Yea. Had to rewind to be sure I heard correctly. I think some of the shooting and then just one shot and they ask did you even see if you got him and then the praised Alah and said I didn't need to I'm sure they probably shot at someone and missed and just said so or just faked a kill to look better on Global TV.


From the camera shots through the holes in the wall it looked maybe 600 hard shots tops. Mostly across the street and on the other side of the street was about all they were shooting. I also found it odd no one gun fight or round came their way. But off camera with no taping of any aftermath was one of them "killed for their cause" not even an interview with his sons to show the struggles. Again I think there was a few hits to make the video a bit more juicy and interesting
