    Yet Another Jack-inspired Build

So last year a buddy approached me to build him an AR. He tried to start earlier, but never got past the stripped lower. I was given card blanche, but with a budget. I thought, why not? I've been reading about everyone else's Jack-inspired build, I now had the opportunity to try on someone else's dollar. After 8 months of piecing it together while trying to not pay top dollar for parts, here's what I recently assembled. Please comment, I'd like to learn more about the pros and cons of this build. I've included my reasons for each part.

Aero Precision Stripped Upper (cause that's what was available)
BCM Mod 3 Charging Handle (I recently had a Mod 4 snag on my gear)
BCM upper small parts (forward assist, dust cover, barrel nut, cause that's what was available)
WMD Guns Full Auto NiB BCG (available, and wanted to try NiB)
PSA 16" Pencil Profile Barrel, mid length gas (wanted lightest possible)
AAC Blackout Non-mount FH (best at reducing flash)
Kies Melonite gas tube (liked the black, and was available)
BTE adjustable, micro, clamp on, black gas block (one of the only micro .625 clamps that I found)
Troy TRX Alpha (lightweight, and not quite overpriced, and uses a standard barrel nut)
PSA LPK with ALG ACT Trigger (NiB on trigger parts) and Magpul MOE grip
BCM 7075 Buffer tube and H Buffer (read somewhere heavier buffer helps in reliability)
    BCM Standard Buffer spring (available)
    Magpul CTR
Clone Dutek 45 degree Sights (didn't want to pay $240)
Quentin Defense lower (buddy already has this)

Overall I tried to keep everything light. I did think the thin profile barrel looked funny mated to the AAC, but after a while I stopped noticing it. I'm also trying to play with the mid-length gas and adjustable gas block with the slightly heavier H gas block. I haven't shot it yet but hope to soon.

Thoughts? Please comment, I'm now thinking I may also want one for myself. I hope it shoots reliably.....

Sounds pretty good, now let's see some pics! Fyi, you don't need an H buffer for a mid-length gas system. The heavier buffers are generally used for over-gassed carbines. It should still cycle fine but you may have issues with under-powered ammo like Tula or Wolf.

"BCM Mod 3 Charging Handle (I recently had a Mod 4 snag on my gear)"

Are you sure about that? Perhaps you wrote it backwards.

Mod3 is the larger size (size large) that people tend to complain about snags with, and the Mod4 is the mid size (size medium) that everyone seems to love:

BCM® AR15 charging handles were designed by those in real-world combat. Mod 3x3, Mod 4x4, Mod 3B, Mod 4B, and MK2 models are available. Shop now!

Otherwise, looks pretty solid. Let's see some pics!

Just curious as to why you went with off-set sights?
