Looking to buy another sks

There are a couple sites that have really nice Norincos for around $400. So if you're going to have to DROS, I'd go that route instead.

Any of the rifles you mentioned above are worth buying. The top gunbroker link is well worth the current price of $260 if it diesn't get bid up too much. I would prefer not to buy a rifle with a cracked stock but it is fixable. The bottom rifle would not be C&R, so you'd have to have it sent to an 01.

well the ones on gb is all sold. And the ones from classic firearms are still good to go.
It's kind of hard dropping almost $400 for an sks. I bought my russian one for like 230 or so. But that was like 16yrs ago.

Considering how much the price on an SKS has gone up since the craze, I would say that the Norinco Factory 26 (in the first link) for $260 was a steal. I bought my Factory 016 Norinco Summer of last year which included 140 rds of norinco 7.62 for $300.

Personally, I wouldn't spend more than $400 for a Norinco SKS. You'll hear a lot of the other SKS people who will say they remember when SKS was under $100 or how Canadians get it free after buying 1k rounds of 7.62x39.

Especially since the first link showed the Norinco Factory 26 winning bid of $260. I would wait out and see if another good one pops up.

Getting an SKS is lots of problems I find. Which of these Chinese or Norincos can we get? Nice price range I see and nice condition range I see too. What ya'll think?

As long as the SKS has the hinged fixed 10-round magazine, you're good to go. The SKS with the detachable magazine is listed as illegal for the state of California.

For Chinese SKS, the preference is any from Factory 026 which is the the only factory which can track the year the rifle was made. Paratrooper is another SKS which gains a lot of attraction with the 16.5" barrel and shorter spike bayonet.

Honestly, I wouldn't spend more than $400 on a regular Chinese SKS especially if you plan to "Tacticool" or "bubba" it.

^Right? That's why I figured to put them on blast before they start up. you know video games used to be only a single quarter in the 80's too!
