    Complete PSA AR15 Lower

Does anyone know if PSA will or will not ship their complete AR15 lowers to cali?

    Thanks

I had inquired about them shipping a stripped lower to me in Cali. I confirmed it with a gal at PSA and I also confirmed with Mike at OC Armory that he will accept it. Mike mentioned that they accept lowers from PSA all the time, though my inquiry pertained to a stripped lower. Not sure about complete lowers though. I was looking at their blemished lowers they were selling (might still be as I haven't checked lately) for $99.00. These calls were made a month ago while I was waiting for my billet Franklin order to be filled at Turners which has since been filled.

I talked with my local ffl and they also regulary accept stipped lowers from palmetto. I am curious about the complete lower because it seems like a really sweet deal.

PSA will not install a BB on to their lowers and will only ship it completed. Not sure if they're willing to remove the grip before shipping.

As long as they don't ship it with an upper you'll be okay. A BB is only required for centerfire rifles (as of now), and without an upper its not a centerfire.

I'd like to know the exact thoughts on this too. I was always under the impression you had to have a bb.

Problem is the fee the they charge for accepting a freaking package in the mail. That $99 blem stripped PSA lower can easily end up costing as much as a Billet lower!

I just had the same discussion with my FFL. He charges me $50 just to receive the FFL only item.
He has the Mag Tacticals now for $229. I was paying $169 from Brownell's plus shipping so it is real close just to walk-in and wait the ten days. For a few bucks more I would rather keep it local, IMHO.

Exactly. And frankly, $50 is CHEAP... which FFL? I've heard $80-100 at some FFLs local to me. UGH. I was all excited about a $125 lower (cheaper than the $159 at the local Turners, and different) until I found out about this.

I am going through EBR and their FFL fee is 75. Not too bad, other local shops charge like 125! Plus I bought a few gift cars from Palmetto during their father's day deal. $90 for a $100 gift card. So this complete lower will only cost me 180.

Complete lower for $180? That's not bad at all. Stripped lower for $180, OTOH, is no bargain at all.

If that $180 includes the $75 fee, a complete lower (not stripped) for $105 is a hell of a deal!

Still, when it comes to stripped lowers, adding $75 on top of, say, $125 for a decent price, gives you a $200 stripped lower... NOT a good deal.

Just received a call back from Palmetto. They confirmed that they WOULD ship this COMPLETE lower to cali, however they would not include the 30 rd. rebuilt kit.
