    Howa or 700ADL?

So while picking up my savage rascal, I was looking at a couple of bolt action rifles one was a used Remington 700 ADL in 30-06 and the other was a howa in .270, I know the Remington should be a good rifle but I've never fire or handled a howa. Any one have any experience with these rifles? The 700 was used asking $619 the howa was new for $519, good price for either of these? Good or bad experiences with either one?

Buy a brand new 700 ADL from Cabela's for 439.99. After DROS, Shipping Tax and Transfer its still at about $500.

Howa. The problem with Remington is, it's made by Remington. A shell of the great gun manufacturer they once were.

Most people go with the cheapest 700 they can find then tune it up over time. The aftermarket support for rem is insane. It's the 10/22 of the centerfire world.

Howa no aftermarket. Weatherby no aftermarket. Savage some aftermarket.

I shoot a savage, but would only move from savage to custom 700 or sako or AI moving up....

When you start with good the need to upgrade is irrelevant.....
When you say no aftermarket your exclusively speaking of tacticool right? because as for normal applications there are,as follows.

              Triggers
              Stocks
              Barrels
              Floor plates
              Box mags
              Muzzle brakes
And for the Savage along with all of the above there are,
              Bolts
              Bolt handles
              Bolt heads
              Followers
              lugs
and probably a few other items.

Howa or Weatherby Vanguard new will be less than the used Rem and the Vanguard will shoot 1" or less. I have one in 257Weatherby and am getting another Vanguard in 7mm Rem mag to replace the Ruger I sent in to rebarrel to 264Win mag.
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.
