Here, here! You can't take it with you when you die. Shoot it now and enjoy it. Take good care of it and pass that kind of care and maintenance to your kids and let them continue the tradition.
www.tenpercentfirearms.com was open from 2005 until 2018. I now own Westside Arms.

        .02

My .02 is ask someone who knows about M1 carbines like 6172 suggests.
If it's a collectable than it's up to you to decide wether to shoot a 1500 dollar rifle that not even your dad shot.

If it's a mixmaster blast away by all means but even these are sometimes worth something in parts.

If you want to shoot a M1 buy a new one.

I have a lot of firearms some are collectable, some for personal reasons.
But why would I shoot my 99 percent WWII 1942 COLT WB 1911A1, will it work? hell yes, in a heartbeat.

        I've got 10 other 1911 that I shoot instead...........

Cars are meant to be driven, guitars meant to be played, guns meant to be shot, porn meant to be....

Don't treat your guns like porn is all I'm sayin'.
