spend a little more and you wont have to spend again...
Another vote for the Leupold Mark AR line, great optic for the money.
Im running a Mark AR 1-4x, its a great versitle scope, they now have the Mark AR Mod 1 series with a firedot SPR reticle, may have to move to that one.

Leuplod AR 6-18x40 with BDC on a Larue QD mount. And an Aimpoint PRO.
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong...

Buy used. I picked up a Leupold VariX 3-9x40 scope for $100 shipped. Spent another $50 leupold rings. 3-9x40 is a great all around scope.

If you only have $150 to spend on optics you should save up. Cheap optics will break through normal use.

Save your money dude. If you buy cheap your just going to buy twice.

That said, Primary Arms are the best cheap AR optics available.

Scopes... ACOG, Vortex PST 1-4x, SWFA SS HD 1-6x

All of which are a pleasure to use.

SWFA 1-6x is currently my favorite AR scope.

I agree with the others, save your money, $150 will just about buy you the mount for the scope.

In all honesty we have all been down that road. I'm a cheapskate, but still want the most for my dollar. I had to accept that I had to spend at least $200 bux. Although you can get a nikon for less just keep an eye out. My nikons are great and no complaints.

Just a rubber armored Tasco3-9x40 with a mount on the carry handle. It has been trouble free and i have been happy with it as far as accuracy i have no problem shooting 1/2 to 1inch groups off the harris bi pod at 100 yards. Can hit target alot further too.

Just bought a Nikon P-223, 3-9x40 scope, specifically for the AR .223 round, from Dick's Sporting Goods for $161 shipped. The store sale price is $169, down from the retail list $199....I just had a $20 coupon that I was able to add on.

Optics Planet also had it for $169, but it was on backorder for 4 weeks....

You can also get the Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40 for about $140-150.

This seems to be a decent 1-4x AR scope for the price, the reticle is not illuminated but does include a mount for under $200 shipped.

                          Nikon P-223

I have a few Nikon P-223 scopes on my ARs. They all have variations on BDC.

The 3X is right at your price point and you can sometimes get a deal where they throw in the mounts for free. It's remarkably bright and clear. It's awesome for the money.

They can be hard to find in stock. Optics Planet often looks like it's in stock, but it ends up on backorder for months.

Good suggestions in this thread, I found this one at walmart while ammo hunting, looks awesome..

Still haven't pulled the trigger on any particular model though. I might just do as some suggested and save some cash for a higher end model. If anything just get the one pictured above.

There's a huge difference between those two as far as cost. But if you're looking for a scope that cost less, i love my Bushnell Banner.
