For the record, I own an XCR w/ bullet button and it is one fine weapon. Reliable, controlable and fun to shoot.

I know you don't like to point out the obvious.

I own two xcr s if that tells you anything. very low maintenance, highly reliable and a true fully adjustable piston w/ 5 gas settings not like the retrofit piston systems out there that only have 2 settings one for suppressor use and the other regular. if shot over 3000 rounds with only5-10 jams during the break in period. The best of the AK and AR rolled into one. The only negative is the weight. Very accurate, I shoot up to 500 yards (6.5) with no problems.

Pssst..... at least the fal goes bang every time.... unlike the AR10. (personal experience).

M 96

THE M 96 EXPEDITIONARY IS THE ****! IT'S NOT FUGLY IT'S A BEAUT. IT IS HELLA ACCURATE AND NOT FLIMSY AT ALL, PLUS NO TWANGY SPRING AFTER YOU SQUEEZE THE TRIGGER. NOT BASHING THE AR AT ALL (I CHANGED MY SPRING TO PNEUMATIC PISTON) NOT TWANGY NOISES ANYMORE. BUT THE M 96 IS FREAKIN AWESOME. CANT COMMENT ON THE XCR BUT I BET IT'S THE SHIZNIT TOO!

Besides the M96 being fugly, it had its share of teething problems. The fact that they are not making it anymore should tell you something.
