SKS Trigger work?

I know the SKS was designed/built to be a battle rifle, not a tack driver. However I am very happy with the accuracy of my Yugo SKS at a distance of 75 yards (so far). However the trigger pull is very heavy. I am sure it could be lightened up by several pounds. Has anyone on the forum had trigger work done on a SKS?

What was the cost of the work? Were you pleased with it?

I am in the San Gabriel Valley but willing to drive to a shop anywhere in SoCal.

I will third the motion... Tom (kivaari) is THE SKS trigger guy, and has been for many years. Between the two of us a buddy and I have had 4 done by him and the work is top notch. You do not need to send him the gun, just the trigger.

You may also want to look into the firing pin spring mod by Ben Murray. It will make your SKS safer, especially when shooting domestic ammo which typically has softer primers than milspec ammo.
