Old School A2 AR sight thats not pinned

AR-15 I have a 20" barrel looking to do a old school build A2 style. Do any of you have a link to a front sight A2 that dose not require drilling and reaming the sight and barrel. Maybe one thats held on by set screws but still looks sorta like the one thats pinned in? if not have any of you installed the A2 sight at home with just a drill press and no jig?

You could send your barrel to Adco and have them do it right. I have had them do work for me before and it was great.

You could get a windage adjustable front sight base which is held on by set screws.

They're made for CMP/NRA service rifle competition and look just like the standard A2 part - mine even has a bayonet lug.

I thought those windage adjustable FSB's required flats to be machined into the barrel so the set screws have something to adjust against.

OP try looking for an Armalite clamp-on FSB. They'd be a bit hard to find now because Armalite can't keep up with demand plus the mock dissipator guys but they're out there.

I did one. Put the FSB on and get it where you want it, mark it and remove it. Use super glue to install the sight and get it positioned back to your marks. Let the glue cure. I used roll pins that were the diameter of the larger taper and just drilled through the FSB and installed the pins. Took more time to find the right pins than to do the job!
