Hole in wall between mag release and fire control pocket on AR-15 lower. Serious?

I'm in the market for a lower and a friend offered to sell me one that has a manufacturing defect. Apparently the wall between the fire control "well" is pierced through slightly to the through hole in which the mag release sits. I have seen this once before on a polymer lower, but never on an aluminum lower. I'm wondering if this is a serious cause for concern and/or what issues might arise from this. The price is ok for this market, but this "blemish" worries me. Has anyone else seen this before? Should I walk away? Thanks CG!

I have a cmmg lower that has a slight bulg into the mag well but does not pierce through. Seems that the thickness of the metal there is really thin. It could maybe cause the mag button spring to hang up. Just guessing. long time lurker, first time poster.

A hole is not a blemish. It's a DEFECT! But then again, how much will you pay to "live with it"? Me? maybe $25.

You're right, it is definitely a defect. But it's a reasonable deal, and if it doesn't stand to affect function, I'm inclined.

Only for really cheap. $25 as posted above sounds about right.

I have a hard time seeing that being an issue

Id say $ 25 would be a fair price

per mil specs that wall between magwel and fire control is super thin. I seriously doubt it would be any kind of issue, so might be a sweet buy if the price is right
