HELP: Scope base/Rings for my Weatherby Vanguard??

Hey guys, I just got my Weatherby Vanguard S2 30-06 as my first hunting rifle and will put my old Bushnell Elite 3200 3-9x40 on it.

Now I am trying to find some light/solid mount and rings :

1)Talley Lightweight Scope Mount 1" Low Rings $33.97
Strong enough to handle the recoil?
Cheaper Than Dirt! is America's Ultimate Shooting Sports Discounter, and we live up to that title. Expect bulk ammo deals, discounts, gun care accessories and more

    2) Buy the "Burris Signature Zee 1" Weaver-Style Steel Rings" from a friend, and then try to find a weaver-style base myself.

    3) DNZ Lightweight 1" scope mount LOW
I find SWFA has them for Mark V Standard Receiver, I don't know if they will fit my vanguard S2 30-06 (long action).

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated !!!
    Thanks guys!

A friend of mine went with the Talley rings and he really likes them.

That's a good scope. FWIW I own all of the above rings/mounts. The Talley's are light but should be (but don't have to be) lapped. I lap mine.

Burris Signature Zee rings have plastic inserts and do not have to be lapped and are some of my favorite rings for hunting rifles. If you go this route I'd go with a 2-piece base like these from Burris - just double check to make sure they are the ones for your rifle. There are cheaper options but I like Burris.

DNZ are darn good mounts that do not need to be lapped but not my choice for a Vanguard because for your rifle I like a more open design.

These are Talley Lightweight mounts holding a Nikon Monarch 2-8x32 on a Howa M1500 in .308, the receiver is identical to a Vanguard's.

This is a Howa M1500 in 30-06 with Talleys holding a Nikon Team Primos (Monarch) 3-9x40.

I'm running Leupold mounts and rings with my Weaver K4. The Vanguard/Howa receiver accepts any mount/ring set up designed for the Remington 700.

              Sholling, nice picture!
The Burris sig zee only comes medium height, do you think it's too high for my vanguard?
