    Saiga gas tube

I've got a Saiga 7.62x39 that I converted the rear end of. Now it looks super goofy with the stock handguard, so I want to do the front end. I'm pretty sure I need a gas tube, a lower handguard retainer, and upper and lower hand guards.

I'm going to use this for the lower handguard retainer:

My question is, will this fit?
K-Var specializes in the AK market offering AK rifles, parts, and accessories. We also now carry AR-15 as well as many other popular calibers and styles of firearms, parts, and accessories.

If not, can I easily modify it to work, or where can I find a gas tube that will fit?

I know the Ultimak rail is good, but I can't spend $85 on that, plus $50 for the bolt on lower handguard retainer, plus $40 or 50 on the actual handguards. (I have cheap black Tapco furniture right now, while I save up for an Ironwood set.)

    Thanks!

I believe it'll fit and be just fine. If you wanna sell your original gas tube to fund that one let me know.
