DPMS AR 15

Hi all. Looking at buying a DPMS AR-15. I did my time on SLR's so not familiar with the different AR brands out here. Any advice?

They have a bad rap from years ago from when they were making pretty inferior products.
Supposedly as of late they have improved, but the Rep remains

Do a lot of reading and get familiar with the platform. In the end, this will benefit you most of all. What's your budget and intended purpose?

This one has optic sight and is unused, wants 1200. chambered in .223.
its gonna be a squirrel gun so don't need moa acuracy.

So completely stock, except it comes with an optic? What kind of optic?

Unless the optic is high dollar enough to make this a good deal, I would pass and try and hunt down a S&W M&P 15 sport for a decent price. Or you could also build your own for around 1k.

Thanks, I'll check out the optics and see what it has.As for stock I assume it is, as I say not totally familiar with all the variations. I know it is direct Impingement not piston and has no other obvious mods. It does have chromed barrel.Oh by the way no tax its a private sale.

1200 seems a little steep for a DPMS. I would also look at a MP15 if you can find one
