I don't know about a spring, but there are various different rate reducing buffers available. I'm sure someone here know, but I sure don't.

I have an Enidine buffer that seems to work quite well at reducing the felt kick. Apparently on "Full-Auto" it will cause the firing rate to reduce a few hundred rounds? I dont know about this as I dont have any FA's to test this out..

The ARF guys love them and swear by it. Ive sold my remaining supply of Enidine buffers to various forum members. I only have 1 MGI buffer left. If you're interested, it's still for sale. I was going to 'tempt' a buddy of mine into picking it up, but if you want it, it's still available.

Just send me a PM and we can talk about it further.

There is a spring with a heavier rate sold by Superior Shooting Systems. It's made of chrome silicon. There's also another item sold known as the carrier weight system (cws) that adds another 4 oz. to the bolt carrier.

Some people even use the heavier buffer used for 9mm conversions, J&T Distributing carries it along with others.

M16 bolt carrier and heavy buffer should do the trick... if that's not enough... read the suggestions in the posts above ^^^

I would like to slow down the cycle rate to give the powder
            alittle time to burn.

              What about a 9mm buffer?

Can't you just get a spacer then?

RRA makes a spacer so you can use their 9mm buffer in an A2 stock:
