I am officially confused about flash hider now

    Description
This FSC556 Tactical Compensator has all of the compensation of the standard DNTC compensator combined with enough flash suppression to keep the flash out of your optics and line of sight.

This device has been classified as a non-flash suppressing device by the BATFE.

This device was also designed to accommodate suppressors such as the Gemtech HALO and therefore comes with a peel washer.

This unit is 2.10" in length, .865" (22mm) in diameter and is threaded 1/2x28 RH.

I would never use any compensator / brake that has been advertised as having flash suppressing features on anything but a fixed-magazine build.
The above does not constitute legal advice. I am not your lawyer.

The CA DOJ is NOT the BATFE.

Read the definition of a flash hider in CA. You won't even think about using it.

You do realize being "officially confused" was the primary goal of the law.

I would stay away from anything that even has the would "Flash Hider" connected to it in advertising.
I think it can be confirmed that an alien xenomorph is absolutely no match for good ole' Alabama black snake!

            and

If you're in a survival movie and the hot blond twists her ankle and can't walk, you damn well figure a way to carry her. If it's a dude, you shake his hand and say "best of luck".

I think their description matches up with what a flass suppressor does (keeping the flash out of your line of sight)

              I would avoid it.
