That receiver is cast. Run away. Find a PTR91, pay a little extra and be confident in your weapon.

Good news: It is legal since it is not marked as either CETME or HK-91.

Bad news: The design of the rifle has some serious flaws. The receiver is made from cast aluminum, and doesnt do a very good job of holding the steel trunnion in place. The trunnion is pinned in place by two steel pins, which over time will wobble out the holes in the aluminum receiver under recoil. This will allow the barrel to develop side to side play at the muzzle end. Group size will go to hell, and eventually the rifle will cease to function altogether. Of all the HK clones on the market, this is likely the worst of the bunch

The Greece EBO made SAR 3 and SAR 8 are the best HK 91 clones out there.

I own a Springfield Armory SAR 8 and a HK 91 and they are both equal in every way.

Aren't those using cast aluminum receivers too?

IIRC, the Greek Springer SAR's used Hellenic Arms stamped steel receivers, HK licensed and built on HK tooling. They are as good as HK and FMP.

Early Springfield SAR-8's were made on stamped steel receivers. There were several years towards the end of their production where they used the cast aluminum receiver made by Federal Arms. I generally like most of the products the Federal Arms (Now Nodak Spud, maker of the NDS AK receivers) made, but they really screwed the pooch on the FA-91 receiver.

Yes they are legal, I have two G3's built on the later PSG-1 version of that receiver, and they both run fine.

So how I can find 10 rounders for G3/PTR-91? All surplus mags I found on Gunbroker are 20 rounders ...
