Some quick heads-up info on the 17HMR upper from Bill at Alexander Arms...

"It is finally coming to life after months of work and hopefully will be showing at the NRA show.

I have been putting together the drawings and parts for a 17 HMR to run on an AR 15 lower, essentially a dedicated upper. This is the HMR not the Mach2 so it should be good for accuracy to 200 as long as the wind does not play.

16" fluted stainless barrel (2 grades cut and buttoned)
vented composite free float hand guard or LaRue rail
flat top upper.

Mags will run with a mag block like a 9mm and we currently plan on releasing a ten and twenty round version (double stack). Thinking about cutting a dedicated lower for those who might want to have the rifle as a single set up.

I'd LOVE to have one of these uppers. But given the issues notime2shoot had when he ordered his .50 Beo upper, I won't be holding my breath on these making it to the masses any time soon.
