quick pre ban question

ok im glad i bought my registered colt ar before the ban .my question is that were you able to buy just lowers back then as easily as you can buy an oll now?(was it popular).seems to me that it would have been smart to "stock up" if you knew what was going to happen and i really didnt at the time.

There were many companies that sold just lowers (not as many as now) and the internet wasn't as common to spread the word.

plus the prices were crazy but ppl paid it cuz they thought it was going to be thier last chance

I bought a PWA lower before the ban. Complete not stripped though.

At the last Pomona Gun Show lowers were going from $99.00 for a no name generic to $750.00 for a preban Bushmaster stripped lower. I didn't and I'm glad I didn't buy any Pre Ban lowers. Sure I couldn't build my rifle with a flash hider bayonet lug or collapsable stock. A few years later the GOP gave them back to me. People took a real beating on the Pre ban stuff.
