    VEPR Hunter

Does anyone have experience with this rifle?

I visited City Arms today, they have a few for about $1,600.00. Handled it a bit and it seemed OK, but my knowledge of AKs is limited.

I love the veprs in 7.62x54r. I've been looking for one for a while. I picked up a vepr in 5.45 a few months back and love it. They are some of the best ak's money can buy. 1600 is a little pricey.

Veprs are awesome, but that one is pretty expensive. Kvar has some veprs.

The vepr is the higher end of the saiga sporting rifle line. The are high end ak type rifles.

I saw a VEPR chambered in .308 for about $800 6 months ago... I thought about it but I wanted one in 7.62x54r.. Still looking for one. $1600 IMHO is way too much. I would wait it out

Just snatched up that .308 Hunter from City Arms. I was thinking about an M1A when I first began my search for a .308 semi-automatic but decided to be a little different. Everyone and their mom has an M1A... I actually haven't seen anybody with a Vepr in my area. The build quality and finish of the rifle is superb, all it took was one cycle of the action by hand and I was sold.... sooo smooth and zero play! Hope it shoots as well as it looks and handles, I'll find out soon. Cheers!
