Just bought a Mini-14!

Lets the flames start, it cost me an insanely low price. It came with 8 mags, sling and a set of ruger rings. Less than 40 rounds fired Its sitting in 10 day hold for now but I will get pictures up soon of the laminate/stainless beauty. Cant wait to get her to the range to sight her in and see whats what.

When was the last time you shot a rifle or hand gun 40 or less and said hmmm I think will sell it insanely lower then I bought it for and another thing 8 mags, no one owns a weapon and 8 mags for it and only fires 40 rounds, think about it....

either way congrats on the rifle they might not be super accurate but reliable as hell.

My Mini circa 1979, is currently at CRT Guns in Modesto getting whatever magic David feels is necessary. I will do a write-up when it returns home.

I did a lot of mountain camping in the early 1980's and found the flush 5 rounder and no grip really advantageous for attaching to a backpack.

Yeppers, gun doc does some great work. He hooked up my mini 14 and it shoots great. Now only if I could stop shooting wolf. 2-4 inch groups with wolf. Definitly better with real ammo.

Gundoc is the freakin' man. He made mine simply awesome. Best trigger job.

Is it the new model? I have been waiting for a few range reports on the new model to see if they are within 2" @ 100 yds. I like the Mini but cannot figure out why the heck they did not design them to be reasonably accurate.

I have a new model mini (16" barrel, stainless, short synthetic stock). I got it about a year ago for evaluation purposes. It has a forward mounted EOTECH so not really set up for long range. At 100 yards with the EOTECH and good ammo it will keep 5 shots in 2 inches. By the way I have put about 2000 rounds through it, and never cleaned it. No FTF.

I like my Mini unmodified for what I use it for. Plinking and if need be SHTF. It shoots good enough to hit a guy center of mass from pretty far away in a SHTF type situation. I don't regret buying my Mini at all...

Stop listening to anti-ruger and anti-mini14 reviews then. Go buy, borrow or rent one and shoot it. They are accurate, reliable and durable.

plus who really counts thier rounds 1bang.2bang.3bang.4bang.5bang.6bang.7bang.8bang.9b ang.10bang next mag 11bang etc....
